Kevin Hinckley

Kevin George Hinckley Obituary Feb. 19, 1952 ~ Nov. 28, 2013 Kevin George Hinckley passed away at his home on November 28, 2013 due to natural causes. He was born on February 19, 1952 in Salt Lake City, the only son of Patricia F. and George V. Hinckley. He graduated from East High School in 1970 and attended the University of Utah briefly, choosing instead to work outdoors at Fremont Lake in Pinedale, Wyoming and then as a land surveyor for Triple A Engineering and Caldwell, Richards, and Sorenson in Salt Lake City, before taking a job with the Bureau of Land Management. His health issues ultimately ended his career. Kevin possessed a sharp wit, keen intellect, a wonderful laugh, an amazing memory for all types of trivia, and a love for music and horror movies. He was an avid fan of the University of Utah, the Utah Jazz and Real Salt Lake, and never missed a game on TV. He was always polite and appreciative of all that others did for him, and anyone who truly knew Kevin loved him. Kevin cared deeply for his family and friends and will be sorely missed by them. He is survived by his sisters, Pamela Hinckley (Alan Huff), Jody Elsholz (John), and Erin Bowers (Rob), numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, with prior visitation from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health, www.namiut.org), Utah State Office, 1600 West 2200 South, Suite 202, West Valley City, UT 84119.
