Christian A Jensen
Jan. 28, 1952 ~ Jan. 28, 2016
It is with a heavy heart we say goodbye to our son, brother, uncle and friend Chris. Chris was born on January 28, 1952, in Salt Lake City, he graduated from East High School and obtained his BA (Education) and MS (Social Work) degrees from the University of Utah. Chris dedicated his life to working with children. He worked with children at Primary Children's Hospital, as well as West Jordan and Salt Lake School districts. Children were close to his heart and his commitment to helping disadvantaged and special needs students was unsurpassed. He had a gift relating to young people; his students as well as his nieces, nephews loved him very much. All will miss him dearly. Chris loved the game of basketball and he played regularly, generally with players much younger than him. He was an avid fan of the Utah Jazz, loved travel, and although he travelled the world, he loved the red rock of Moab, Utah. We will miss you Chris and know that through the many lives you have touched, your spirit will live on. Chris is survived by his mother Janie Jensen, sister Debbie Doyle (brother-in-law Randy), brother-in-law Ted Glenn, nieces, nephew and grand-nieces and nephew. Chris is pre-deceased by his father Gordon Jensen, sister Cathy Glenn and niece Hilary Doyle. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Humane Society of Utah. A Celebration of life will be held at the Old Mill Golf Course, 6080 Wasatch Blvd, Salt Lake City, on February 26th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
