Our dear sister, aunt, niece, and friend, age 55, passed away on Monday, Feb. 11th, in Murray, UT.
She was born on June 4, 1952, in Salt Lake City, UT to Edwin O. and Evelyn Ruth Peach Black.
She held many church positions over the years. She also sang in the ward choir. She was very active in politics, serving as county delegate and co-chair for the Republican Party. She attended Wasatch Elementary, Bryant Jr. High and East High School. She received an Associate Degree from Ricks College, Rexburg, ID and also Salt Lake Community College. She worked at Layton Sales Agency for over 15 years.
She is survived by: sister, Cheryl Stroud of Taylorsville; brothers, Paul Black of Park City and Brent Richard Peach of Salt Lake; nephews, Jeremy Westerman, Jeffery (Tiscia) Westerman, and Mike Stroud; niece Brandi Peach-Donovan; grand-nephews, Travis and Nathan, grand-niece Kayla. Also survived by aunt, Eileen Edwards of Clearfield. She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.
Funeral services will be Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at 10 a.m., in the Millcreek Stake Center, 4220 S. 420 E., SLC, UT. A viewing will be Feb. 17, 2008 at Deseret Mortuary, 36 E. 700 S., SLC, UT, from 6-8 p.m., and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment: Lake Hills Memorial Park, Sandy, UT.
