In Memory

Mamie Wong (SooHoo)

Mamie was a Registered Dietitian and worked at LDS Hospital and the University of Utah Medical Center. She died of breast cancer at age 52. Survived by her husband Jeffrey and her son Jordon.

From Lois Wiesemann: Mamie was such a wonderful person, and when she passed away I regretted we hadn’t kept in touch.  I also realized I’d missed such a rich opportunity, both in our teen and adult years, to know more about the Chinese culture, her family’s immigration to the United States, and the traditional foods of her family.  Most of all, I know Mamie just wanted to finish raising her son, Jordan; he was just a young teen when she passed away.
