Yearbook
Mr. Christensen, the English teacher. He allowed us the freedom to be creative.
The day my father told me I could not leave school on my motorcycle, Bri Kimball asked for a ride home - I took him home and on the way back to school I had an accident.
I just returned from a month long trip with BYU Idaho students down to the Canyonlands area.
I would have taken a NOLS course and climbed Denali, like Scott Hinckley did.
Still the same - family, friends, church and work.
From high school? Maria Martinez - I was always secretly in love with her.
Not from high school? Lance Armstrong
I have learned that I can do a whole lot more than I ever thought possible. There is more potential in all of us than we could ever imagine. Those who stop growing start dying.
I want to burn out, not fade away. (thanks, Neil Young)
Some of my greatest joy comes from skiing into yurts with my high school friends each year. I believe we had the best class and group of friends we could have ever had.

Rosemary Jackson - now ther is a real sweetheart. She and I spent all but our juniorl high years at the same schools. She always had a welcoming smile and a tender soft voice and brought happiness to all who knew her.

Tim Love was one of the most positive and friendly people at East. He always had a smile, was super happy and made you feel like you were important to him. He along with many others are people I wish I had stayed in contact with after high school. We all need more people like Tim to bouy us up and make us feel valued.

Barbara was one of my best friends, particularly our senior year. We spent a lot of time in the English resourse Center talking about life, our challenges and our social relations. She always had a smile and a laugh. During the summer of 1971 ater she returned from Ricks College we spent more time together. She was a great friend and a real confidant.
Thank you Kristina for letting us all know of your mothers passing. Death is becoming more and more frequent now that we are all in our 70s.. I am glad your mother passed peacefully.

It has been about 2 and a half years now since Drew passed. I will forever regret that I did not stay in closer contact with him. We were close friends in high school, during and after our missions. I knew of Drew's many struggles physically and emotionally. Yet he always remained to me one who cared. The day before he passed I was going to get in touch with him to get some information about his grand father, Harold B. Lee for a presentation I was giving. Unfortunately I was able to get the information from another source and did not take the opportunity to talk to Drew. I have often wondered if we would have talked if it would have a difference in his life. President Thomas S. Monson showed up and talked at Drew's funeral. He was not on the program, just thought it right to be there. He reminded all of us there to make sure we stay in touch with people who may be struggling in life and not to pospone those opportunities. He must of known I was there.
